Estatua de Isabel la Católica

Posted by
Urech (Madrid, Spain) on 6 June 2017 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Statue of Isabel the Catholic in its previous location, at the height of the number 61 of Paseo de la Castellana. The snowfall is copious, as was the one that fell on Madrid on January 20 and 21, 1940, dates to which this image may correspond. On the left, a General Electric tram line 8, without a trailer, has just arrived from the Puerta del Sol. Travelers are quick to take the Charleroi tram on the right, line 7, bound for Chamartín. The building in the background is the National School of Deaf-mutes that at the moment lodges the Superior Center of Studies of the National Defense.
